We do the sizing and layout work anyway — the calculation routes have been turned into web tools and made publicly available. Usable without registration; entries stay in the browser and are not transmitted to a server.

3D planner for safety fence cells

Set cell dimensions, fence height and panel width — the division into panels, doors and openings is recalculated continuously. Any panel can be turned into a door, an opening or a gap by clicking.

  • Pick a robot from the list (ABB, FANUC, Yaskawa) — the working radius is checked against the fence line and any shortfall is given in millimetres.
  • Alternatively an XYZ gantry on columns with travels and stroke — including a warning about reaching over from above.
  • Views in 3D, plan and elevation; configuration sheet as PDF for internal coordination.

For clarity: The planner is a layout tool for preliminary coordination. It is not a safety verification and not a product catalogue. We build safety fencing as part of cell and modification projects. Our core business remains the design, procurement and installation of machine assemblies.

Equipment

Place machines, control cabinets, conveyors or pallets as boxes — to see what fits into the cell and where space remains. Dimensions in millimetres. Position X runs along the cell length, Position Y along the cell width, each measured from the cell centre to the centre of the item.

The PDF contains all three views, the key data and the composition of the cell. It is a non-binding extract with a watermark and document number — panel division, door positions and post spacing are defined in the quotation. Please attach it when sending the e-mail — browsers cannot attach files automatically.

Non-binding representation for coordination. Execution, fixing and safety distances to EN ISO 13857 are defined together within the project.

Digital layout planning

The new assembly stands in the model before it is manufactured

We record the installation situation and place the planned component to scale into the model of the existing machine. Whatever does not fit there will not fit in the shop either — but in the model it costs nothing.

What this achieves in practice

  • Envelope and collisions are checked before ordering — including hose routing, cable runs and maintenance access.
  • Coordination in pictures, not in prose. Production, maintenance and purchasing see the same view and do not argue from different mental pictures.
  • Fewer changes after manufacture. Changes in the model are cheap; changes to a milled part are not.
  • A basis for the release decision. You see the planned solution on your machine before you release the budget.

Basis: Photographs and measurements from the shop, existing drawings or an on-site survey. The result is model views, sections and renderings for coordination — not a simulation of process behaviour and not a substitute for a risk assessment.
